I was inspired by the wonderful jewelry on today's inspiration challenge site (particularly this bracelet http://70.87.93.66/~destinys/item_300/Eden-Bracelet, these earrings http://70.87.93.66/~destinys/item_38...e-Earrings.php) and also by Stephanie's sample card and technique to try a metallic flower. I started by using the Vintage Wallpaper ef to emboss a piece of brushed silver paper. I didn't have any silver ep (how did that happen??) so I mixed black, gold and clear to emboss over silver ink that I smudged over the raised flowers. I was purposefully messy with the ep so some went on the non-raised areas too. I then cut out flower layers, put some Stazon black directly onto the edges, then rolled the edges a bit. I added a blue rhinestone brad to pick up a hint of blue (like the earrings). I mounted the flower on basic black framed by a Pacific Point piece that I'd punched a Top Note die from. I embossed the sentiment using the same mix of powder over silver ink. I think the flower would look cool in other settings too.
