This is my CASE of Connie's Sketch Challenge in Blue -- http://highdesertstamper.com/. Thanks for the inspiration, Connie. The challenge was dry embossing so I used my score blade on the INSIDE of the card and made vertical & horizontal score lines and some diagonals in the top corner. Then I rubbed my Pumpkin Pie inkpad over the score lines on the OUTSIDE of the card (DTP). Hint: stamp the backround images before scoring the card base.
In addition to mixing up the color pallete, I changed the stamp sets. For the flowers, I stamped the Fresh Cuts background with Versmark on Whisper White, embossed with Clear EP, and punched them out with the 5-petal flower punch; then I sponged the centers with Crushed Curry ink and the edges with Pumpkin Pie and backed each flower with another flower punched from pumpkin pie. For the background I lightly stamped the criss-cross and plume from Carte Postale.
The edges of the Pumpkin Pie mat and DSP are distressed (with my fingernail). The edges of the Crushed Curry scallop rectangle and sentiment are sponged with Pumpkin Pie. Finally I couldn't resist adding a bit of ribbon.
Dimensions:
Textured Curry under flowers: 2 x 3
DSP: 2-1/4 x 3-1/2
Pumpkin Pie: 2-1/2 x 3-3/4
Whisper White for sentiment: 1-1/4 x 1-3/4
