I really liked this week's sketch, so I made another card for the challenge. I think we all were told that stripes and plaids do not go together, but I think if they have the same colors and are not right on top of each other, they look just fine. These papers are from my new favorite Christmas DP -- Basic Grey Jovial.
I stamped the poinsettia three times with ColorBox gold pigment ink on red cardstock and embossed them with Detail Gold ep, cutting two of them into sections, then layering them with pop dots. It's probably a little hard to see, but I added a little bit of gold Smooch on the berries in the center.

Lois, I think your stripes and plaids look great together...just enough stripe. Good job on that pretty poinsettia.

Lois, your poinsettia is gorgeous! I love the gold embossing. I'm with you on the plaids and stripes. These papers are great together and a perfect background for your wonderful flower.
