Wanted to try out a new technique to leave out part of the embossing from a folder. Really happy with how it turned out. Found the details (and a video tutorial here http://www.frenchiestamps.com/2010/0...der-frame.html) but for my template, I just used 2 pieces of cardboard from an empty cereal box, cut a square out of each one, then glued them together. The big shot sandwich I used (from top to bottom) is 1 cutting plate, embossing folder with cardstock in it, my cardboard template, then the mulitpurpose platform on tab 2.
The glitter hides the transition from embossed to smooth cardstock, but I uploaded a picture without the glitter as well.

Laura, one box is enough for 2 templates. My template is the size of a card front, but it is 2 layers of cardboard. I could get 2 layers from the front of the box, then another 2 layers (for another template) from the back. Hope that makes sense. I'll bring the template to our next meeting.
