I was inspired by the mention of leaves in the saying. Hopefully, you can see the Dazzling Diamonds as proof that the "angels did pass by".
Here's how I measured the coloured squares:
Had they been one solid layer instead of 4, this layer would've measured 5 by 3-3/4. To get the squares we need to deduct 1/8 inch(the width of the spaces in between).
So, 5" less 1/8" is 4-7/8 ", and 3-3/4" (or 3-6/8") less 1/8" is 3-5/8".
I took these 4-7/8" by 3-5/8" pieces and sent them through the Big Shot in the Square Lattice folder.
Then I cut them in half both ways, to make 2-7/16" by 1-13/16" pieces in each of 4 colours.
One caveat: slicing through texturized cardstock is hard on the blades, so I had to insert a new blade. But it was worth it not to have to texturize cardstock 4 times as many times.

Very pretty. I think I need to get this embossing folder. I just love the fabric texture it makes. I like the versatile layout also - good for so many occasions.
