TÂ’was the night before NIBÂ’s and all through the nation
Not a creature was stirring or making creations.
‘Cept one little woman (that’s me) who was feeling quite glad
Cause I was creatingÂ… THE latest fad.
I’d paid for a camp, completed the make ‘n take,
I learned how to stamp, a lunch bag turned fake.
For some strange reason, these created a stir
That raised some hairs and maybe some fur.
The gift bags were shared, I gave the lady full credit...
But she learned of their coup and asked me to edit!
So the story follows as best as can rhyme
To teach that sometimes itÂ’s not just sublime.
You all began to clamor for directions from me
And in the nicest way said how sweet that would be.
I asked her permission to share 'en though I had paid!
She quickly replied and said – no, no, NAY!
Alas, it was not in a kind or sweet way,
It left me feeling sad and completely dismayed.
She then asked me to pull it,
It was such a huge hit!!!
But because I'm so nice,
She did not have to ask twice.
I pulled the post of the bag that very same day,
And then carried on in my saddened way.
I shared my dilemma with a group of my friends
And as always, they made amends!
Right from the start they stood up for me –
They made my heart light and filled me with glee!
Knowing full well that if I shared my directions,
She'd have a fit, and show my imperfections.
I began my No Instruction Bag 'cause I was inundated
With requests and suppositions that were miscalculated.
What was really fascinating was that I was not the first,
To share such a creation, and with this info burst.
A Genie plowed the way, in the first of June,
Showing us a beauty, for which you could swoon.
So my question is this – who was the first?
Did the lady who goes unnamed, who made me feel cursed,
Was she really the one, who came up with this design?
Or did our very own Genie, deliver before her time?
Did the lady take credit for a design that was not her own?
So that is the question whose seed has been sown.
Time has now passed, and I share my NIB's for a reason -
I have a client getting ready for the holiday season.
The bags --- now old news, didn't give it a second thought
The NIBÂ’s were shared, and once again the onslaught.
So look no further, the directions are here,
Just put two and two together and it all will become clear.
We've made these before, so go look for more.
Search for NIBÂ’s or GenieÂ’s, and you will score.
I just wanted to share – it's our SU motto,
So let's just go play, like we've won the lotto.
Now that I've shared this revelation, with the SCS nation
Let's all go craft up a storm, that's out of the norm.
So, I say to you all, this is the last call,
Get busy, CREATE, before it's too late.
Stamp a NIB right away, and post it, I say!
Who cares what she thinks, what we do with our inks!!!!
So Hum Bug I say, let's all go and play,
Let's make loads of NIB's --- share them, DISPLAY!!!

So that's what a NIB is! Well, if this isn't the most love reinterpretation of the genie bag, I don't know what is.
Thank you for sharing - everything. The heart of Stampin' Up! lives.

This is the most GORGEOUS NIB I've ever seen! And I MUST ditto what everyone else has posted, you dear Ellen, are the sweetest gal around. The fact that you continue to share your talent with all the world (SCS that is) is proof of how wonderful your heart really is. Shame on anyone who would want to hoarde stamping techniques and ideas. That's just not consistent with the Heart of Stampin Up motto. Thank you for being you!
