Tonite I babysat for my sweet grand daughter Olivia Lou, and came home to find my son in law trying to shoot a mouse under my refrigerator with his bee-bee gun. (sp???) is it really a bee-bee gun??? ANYWAY.....back out I went to our all night Kroeger for some mouse traps.....all night I'm gonna be picturing this little guy like he's as cute as a house mouse - like maybe he has found some cute little pose down stairs right now! Maybe he's painting a pansy, or playing the piano, or even all curled up in a cute winter hat.....and the poor little guy does not know his days are numbered.....his HOURS are numbered.....the dreaded TRAP. Okay, so in reality, he is NOT as cute as a house mouse and the only way I can sleep tonite is because my daughter told me mice can't climb stairs.....but what about tomorrow when I have to go DOWN the stairs to get ready for work and I'm the only one up, just me and Mr. Mouse......I am taking my trusty golden with me.....Luca will get em if the trap hasn't yet......man, I do not think I am gonna have sweet dreams tonite.....but then again, maybe he will hop on Luca's back and look all cute perched there and take a ride.....why do we think house mouses are so darn cute when real ones are very ugly????Anyway - you can see I am a bit distracted from my sketch tonite.....sweet dreams everyone, and I will sleep soundly, knowing now that mice don't climb stairs.....my daughter said so.......hope you like this card!! (Do you think it's true that mice don't climb stairs???)

I love your card. Love the way you added the texture behind the water coloring of the pumpkins. Great layout too. I hope you have been able to sleep since this post since mice really can climb stairs. Catch one and watch him get to the top with a little peanut butter on a cracker.

Oh, yes... it is the time of year that the mice go scurrying everywhere! We caught one in the garage a couple days ago. I'm glad the previous comment told you mice can climb stairs... cause I didn't want to be the one to break the news to you! haha I've actually seen one climb a WALL!!! Yuck. Bless your daughter for trying to make you sleep better. How sweet.
Ok... the GOOD NEWS is that you have created the most BEAUTIFUL fall card!! Karen, this is just amazing! Gorgeous pumpkins. And I ALMOST didn't notice that there wasn't a bow! (almost LOL)

I love your card and got a good chuckle out of your story. Sorry to say, but my husband told me they can climb ( this was when one was in our house). I told him he could have lied to me and I would have been perfectly happy not knowing. Anyway, thanks for the good chuckle.

Oh NO Karen, I hope the trap catches that nasty ole mouse. I loved reading your story. I am probably only one of a few stampers who don't think all the house mouse images are "so cute". I just can not get past the fact that mice are nasty and carry diseases not to mention make a mess of your cabinets and closets.
I will never forget our 1st granddaughter reaching under a shelf and tripping a trap. It scared us to death and today we still can not figure out how she found it. She was not even here when Jessie put it way under that shelf. LOL
