I cut and scored dark maroon cardstock for the base card and layered it with pink cardstock and a nice purple plaid scrapbook paper.
The image was stamped on white cardstock and colored with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I sponged the background with a variety of inks to create the moon shining brightly in a purple sky behind the trick or treaters. This image was matted with pink cardstock and affixed to the card front. A cat silhouette punched from black cardstock finishes it off.
The inside has a cute poem printed on white cardstock and is embellished with a strip of the plaid paper and a cat punched from black cardstock. Here is the poem:
Ghosts and goblins, spooks galore
Scary witches at your door
Jack-o-lanterns shining bright
Wishing you a happy haunting night
I also constructed an envelope from heavy cover stock. The lower left corner was sponged with inks and stamped with a black cat to coordinate with the card.
