I can't believe I've never uploaded a card to SCS using this very old SU! set! I almost used Sketch Challenge 298 except I pulled the dry-embossed panel away from the right edge. Here's why: I don't like raw edges, so I wanted to wrap the ribbon under something after bringing it around to the right side on the back. I tried to wrap it behind the dry embossed panel, but the little loops on the edges stuck out. So, I moved the panel over.
I stamped the chickadees on watercolor paper, made a mask for the chickadee's tail on the left side, used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the flowered branches on each side, and created a little branch scene. Next I watercolored everything with a Niji waterbrush and SU! reinkers. After I was done, I realized it would have looked more realistic if I had a tree behind it. Oh well.
I sponged all the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink by Ranger. Thanks for looking.

Absolutely beautiful - your painting is so wonderful. I also love your layout and the textured background. Even that is wonderfully colored. I'm so glad we can save our favorites because this one has to go there!

Shellie, this is one of the sweetest images...don't you just love this artwork? I love the soft colors and coloring, and what great texture to make a card of perfection!
