I had a devil of a time with today's CAS87 challenge to use the Faux Letterpress technique. Integral to the technique are Cuttlebug embossing folders and the like. I do not have *any* equipment of that sort at all--no Cuttlebug, no embossing folders, no nothing. What I do have is a scoring stylus and the blade track of my paper cutter. I tried inking along the groove in my paper cutter to get the same kind of look, but all I achieved is making a big mess.
So I finally settled on just plain scoring--on the reverse side, so that my scored lines look "pressed inward" as letterpress letters would look, rather than displaying my scored lines raised upward as I usually would do. So this is kind of FAUX "faux letterpress"--not terribly dramatic, but the best I could do with what I have (not much). Sorry--I tried!!
