We were to use leaves on our page and could also get extra points for various other items. For each point, your name goes into “the hat’ and you increase your odds of winning the prize. The contest goes for a month (9/20-10/17/10.) For the past 2 weeks, players could get points from Melisa’s “Stamp on Another Medium” inspiration challenge (chance to earn points ended 10/3/10). Starting today (10/04), you can get your name in the hat doing this challenge. (You have until 11/17/10 at 11:59 pm EST to get your pages done to qualify for points!)
Since I’m hosting this challenge, I won’t get my name in the hat, but I totaled my points anyway, just for fun:
Use different types of leaves: stickers-2 pts.; rub-on leaf border-2 pts.
Quote: 4 pts.
Chipboard: 2 pts.
Chalked edges (journaling spot): 2 pts.
Brads (metal fastener): 1 pt.
Advertise this challenge: 4 pts.
Total: 17 pts.
Journaling: "After our second overnight with Sherry and Stephen on our return from the Adirondacks, we meandered through the Catskills on our way to [our friends’] home in Walton, NY. It was a beautiful day and I was so thrilled that we got to enjoy the sights and scents of an upstate-New-York autumn day. We stopped at this cute out-of-the-way restaurant which had lots of fall items for sale and on display. Of all the things about New York, I miss the fall the most. Although fall is the harbinger of winter (which I could do without), the sight and smell of changing leaves, the cool, crisp air, and all the other things we only find in the fall belong to places like the east coast. There really is no fall to speak of in Arizona and I miss it!"
Quote: “There is nothing quite like a fall day. The cool crisp air, pumpkins in the fields, and playing in the leaves. The smile on your face can warm a chilly day.” Author unknown.
Thanks for looking!
