For stamp camps, order the Habotai Silk Scarves that are 8 inches by 54 inches. The item number is H88 and they cost from 1.12 each to 1.06 each depending on how many you order.
If you're making them for a special gift or for yourself, you might want to bump up the quality to the Crepe de Chine, item number CDC8, that range from $1.75 to $1.55 each. These scarves are a little more silky and stamp a little better.
Before your stamp camp, wash them in Woolite and roll in a towel to dry. This removes any starchy finish and lets the ink set better. Then if necessary, lightly iron out any wrinkles.
Then stamp on the scarves with craft ink. Bold images work best.
Then heat set the ink with an iron. Be careful what setting you have the iron on though because you don't want to burn the silk. I would then suggest heat setting in the dryer for another 10 minutes or so. They can do this part when they get home. All of this heat setting will ensure that the ink won't wash out.
