Another wonderful choice, Stef! I hope the site is back up soon so I can see more of these wallpapers. I chose this Black & White wallpaper design from one of the alternative sources Stef listed.
For my card, I white embossed the brocade background onto black card stock. The verse was stamped and I used a SAMJ to stretch the brocade frame to fit. The flower was stamped with a soft gray ink behind the verse. I die cut it using a Spellbinders Labels 16 that I resized to almost double its original width. It's a little tricky doing this with the fancy shapes, but I think it's worth the effort. I traced around this same die and hand cut the black layer, then resized the next largest die for the last white layer. I attached two little trimmed off strips of the embossed background for some added interest. The textured black rectangle was done with a Sizzix embossing folder that looks like plaid. Finished card measures 5.5 x 4.25 (A2).
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.
