Da Mudder's Story
This beautiful song by Colin Raye was played for my mom. I still miss her.
I had a thoughtful time preparing for this Tea Party. Please help yourself to a cup, and sit down here with Cammie, and read all about this gifted stamper. Gifted in crafts, and also in heart.
This cause is near and dear to my heart. My mom lived in our home while she was afflicted with Alzheimer's, and although it was the most difficult time in my life, I still saw goodness and was closer to her than I had ever been. Mom saw me as her mother, and we had interesting conversations about that! We had no more fences, mom and I sat on the porch swing every night chatting- and could talk about anything.
When times were difficult, I saw how God cared for us. He sent others to come alongside and give us relief. He sent my sister Kathy, who drove an hour from her farm each morning to care for mom in the day so I could work. He sent Rachel, my prayer partner to stay with mom so Bubba and I could have a few hours to ourselves once a week. He sent Natalie to make the long drive with me to visit my mom on weekends, once she was in a care facility. And, this is also the time He sent me Shirley (wannabcre8tive) who called the hospital when I went 'missing' on SCS for dour days. We were strangers then, but Shirley is a friend- close as a sister to me now, and I treasure her tender heart for reaching out to a 'stranger'. Her call felt like a hug from God. I cannot possibly name everyone who made this situation easier, but I do know where they came from! I guess what I am saying is, God cares for our every need, and I am so thankful.
Cammie, bless your heart for all you do!
This card is in honor of my mom, who loved yellow roses and all things 'country'.

Sis, this is just beautiful. What wonderful memories of the times you shared with your momma. So happy that God gave you those special times with her. Sometimes He takes them too soon, but you got a bonus and I am so happy you did. I have enjoyed hearing the stories about her.
I think God gave me the best gift, YOU.
