Congrats, Sallie! I always love visiting your beautiful gallery. I chose Herb Garden to case. I kept the potted plants and layout, but changed the images and colors slightly and added an embossed strip behind the image.
I stamped the plants on the shelf and watercolored them using markers and a water brush. I added some color to the background and sponged a little darker ink around the edges.
For the green background, I started with a lt green piece of card stock and sponged on several colors of green and blue ink then stamped the leafy vine border. The white background was embossed with a wood floor looking heavy plastic sheet I found in the cake baking supplies section of Michael's. I added the greeting in the lower right of a 5.5 x 4.25 white card.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

Julie this is exquisite!! I love the shades of green you have used in your watercolor and the clear blues really emphasize them. Working in many shades of green in any painting is not easy! Your watercolor has a clear, fresh look. How clever of you to get out of the scrapbooking/artist's supplies aisles and find something in the cake decorating area that can be used on cards!! I'm impressed! That bg looks FAB. The bg green is so beautfiully done too. Thanks so much for making my day special by creating this special card! Sallie
