This card was made for my husbandÂ’s birthday. He is really into blues music and I had gotten tickets to the blues festival so I wanted to make a suitable card. The newsletter had the distressed glue technique and I thought this would be a great time to try it!
For the background paper I found an article on the history of blues and took out pieces that I liked. In Word I put some phrases bigger, bolded, italic, and used some different font colours. Printed it out on CS and put a light sponging of distress inks down first before applying the glue. Afterwards I also stamped over top. Finding a quote that was worthy of putting on a card is hard to find from Blues musicians! Both had brads added and were mounted onto white CS sponged with Broken China Distress ink and the edges were distressed.

I love how this turned out! Great job on the glue distressing! Great color choices! Very cool card. I may have to case it for my brother, who is also a Blues follower!
