This is for today's Free For All challenge to use scallops. I started off using just scallops on my umbrella but then decide to use it along the top and bottom as well. I started by printing the sentiment by computer (afterwards got to thinking it should be "showers of blessings" plural instead!). I cut the umbrella with a circle cutter and scalloped scissors. The handle is made of wire, curled with pliers. Added a bow and a brad at the top. The idea was to have the showers be flowers - they are punched and the middles are brads - because the brads stuck out behind the flowers I had to snip them off before attaching them, which is much easier than I thought it would be!

I've seen that Martha punch at the store, but haven't got that one yet; I like what I see here! And you've made a terrific umbrella handle with that wire. So cute!

Beautfull done. I love the monochromatic look, the cut umbrella is superb and I really love the scalloped punch that you used on your edging. Pretty flowers too.
