I was working on the sketch challenge for this week and had already made a couple of cards with it when I got the idea of making a Christmas card using the sketch. I'm really pleased with the result.
I started with a Natural Ivory card that I ran through my Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder. I highlighted the embossing with soft suede sponging. I had thought of a "vintage" dsp that I had in my stash, Paper Recollections. Instead of a 3rd dsp I used my square lattice embossing folder on the Bravo Burgundy panel. I distressed all the edges with my cutter kit tool and sponged complimentary colors on the edges. I had some ribbon on hand that fit the theme. I tore my flower and sentiments and also sponged those edges. For the leaves I used the leaf die from Birds and Blooms and scored down the center then accordion folded them and sponged the creases and the edges. Add some brads and some hemp and its all done!
