Due to some family issues, our Queen Mother was called away to Florida, and she announced there would be no QFTD contest this week! Before Anne could get through security at the airport, Mutnik tossed a dart and declared Anne the Queen. We're all taking on the monumental task of casing one of Anne's cards, and on her return, she'll find her mailbox filled with happy mail!
While trying to pick a card that wasn't too far out of my league, I remembered that I really got Anne's dander up when I had the audacity to call this card quirky! Actually, I called it classy, elegant AND quirky, but regardless, it got AnnieJo riled up.
Mine is no elegant Queen Anne chair, set on an animal print rug... it's just a squeaky old rocking chair out in the apple orchard. No silver slipper for me, I prefer Birkenstocks. No cork, but sand. In Anne's honor, I (gasp) actually cheated on this one and didn't even color the image... it was a freebie included in an order from Ellen Hutson. Although I did use some lovely green satin ribbon Anne sent me, I'll probably get called on the carpet about using the bow easy, but I can't tie a bow like she can.... I need props.
Hurry back Anne... we miss you! At least Phyllis got her wish to keep the crown a bit longer!

Great card, Hilda! Terrific use of the colored image that Ellen sends with one's orders....I never know what to do with them...recycle. perfect idea! I love the other papers and accents you added as well. Anne will get a good chuckle when she sees your card! : )

So YOU are the culprit that called Anne's card QUIRKY!! We have all heard that horrifyingly shocking story!! She was disgruntled, dismayed and appalled for sure!! I think you had better watch out putting QUIRKY on a card in her honor!! You might be taking you life in your hands. Cute card and a chair is just the kind of thing that quirky Anne (OH NO, what have I said?) would do. Yes, I do get to keep the crown for another week, my neck is building up muscles and it is almost getting used to wearing this AWESOME crown. It has stopped raining here, so now I am safe driving around with the sun roof on my card open. Please check out the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge by clicking on the link below my signature. We would be so very honored to have one of your lovely creations in our weekly challenge!

Queen Quirky? Too funny! Anne is sure to love this and get a smile along the way, also. Great image and wonderful Fall colors. That Bow Easy ribbon is wonderful. But, I'm sure you will be called on the carpet. LOL
