I made this simple little card for my dog-loving Godfather's birthday which uses Roxie's super Sketch SC278 - I LOVE this Sketch - it is one of my fav 'go to' layouts which I have used quite a few times now. See this link for the deets on the Challenge: Sketch Challenge 278 by Rox71 at Splitcoaststampers This time I used a circle for the centre panel instead of a square and have minimal layers.
I stamped the image with Vintage Sepia, heat-set it, then coloured it with OMS and Prismacolor pencils, then lightly chalked around the image with Kaisercolour chalks. I stamped the image again and cut out just the present, added some fine blue AI glitter with Art Institute glue just to add a little "zing" to the card, then popped it up on 1mm mounts (dimensionals).
I used a Horizontal Slot Punch to punch the hole for threading the ribbon thru just for something a little different but not too fancy for a guy's card.
The paw pad button is by Buttons Galore: Pet - Little Paws - I just cut the shank off and glued it on. I couldn't figure out where to put a sentiment, so left it off, but now when I look at it, I think I could have had a sentiment tag hanging from the ribbon on the LHS, but my Godfather already has the card - oh well - you live and learn!!
