Well - I was out to prove to myself that I could do more with the Tim Holtz bird cage die cut than just make dies for cards or layouts...so I did....this project took on a life of its own over the course of several days - as things had to dry before I could work with them....but when that was done, I was off creating. As with so many of my things, once I start....it's flowers and bling all over! LOLOL
I cut 4 birdcages from the Tim Holtz die, colored them with Ranger crackle die and attached the "sides" with red tape along the edges. 3 sides first so that I could hang the flowersoft vine on the inside of the cage - attached with glue dots. The vine was created by running some jute through Diamond Glaze and then covering it mixed green Flowersoft. (that had to wait to dry too!) I looped the vine on different sides of the inside of the cage and then came outside and wrapped it around the outside. With the Martha Stewart butterfly punch (3 on the punch) punched out several, highlighted them with a glitter pen and attached them in various places inside and out. Added the 4th side and gathered them at the top, secured the top and then decorated with flowers and bling.
Some of the flowers were created with the Cuttlebug quilling dies....like them and will use them some more!
So - this is the outcome! I kinda liked it....needs some improvement - but that will be next time!
Thanks for looking!
Have a great day!
