Nice challenge, Julia...one piece of cardstock! Your sample is lovely. I decided to go simple...use the power of a gorgeous background stamp and a quirky sentiment.
The sentiment has always tickled my funny bone...and one I had wanted to add to my collection. And while perusing my favorite local thrift store was pleased to find for the price of a 'song'. Now does anyone know what the 'HOKEY POKEY' really IS???
Thanks for looking and have a super Thursday.

Love red, black and white together and this is really striking! I like the quirky sentiment too, but sorry I'm not much help in filling you in on the meaning!!

I went to many family weddings and yes, jumped right in to do the hokey pokey. This is a dramatic way to create a one layer, Susan, and I'm proud of you. We usually see rooms of furniture from you so I know restraint was in order today. But, a gorgeous result for sure. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to see you back here with us. (I'll call you in a bit :-) .

That background is truly powerful and makes a real statement with the red ribbon. As for the hokie-pokie, I don't know the answer, but, still do it with my grandkids. It is said we must grow old. No one said to grow up!

I think the Hokey Pokey is the '50's version of the Macarena
or whatever is hip right now. Certainly not me, I never know what is going on in pop culture!
Love your card, Susan.
