I'm pleased to announce that I'm the latest addition to the Stampin' B's Design Team!! Each week one member of this fabulous group issues a fun cardmaking challenge. This week my friend Benzi issued the challenge--to use a charm on your card. Easy Peasy!!
I was excited to dig into my collection of fun charms from Mark's Finest Papers for this adorable brass seahorse. For some crazy reason, seahorses make me think of retro 50s & 60s bathrooms, (I know, weird, huh??). I was picturing pearly seahorse plaques in a mint green and pink bathroom, so I Googled "mint pink bathroom" for inspiration for this card--and found it in spades!!
I used images from the Mark's Finest Papers Flourished Sea Creatures stamp set and some lovely pearlescent Sparkle Finish card stock (also from MFP) for my 50s flashback card. I love how it turned out!!

Emzi this card is just fabulous. I adore that little sea horse charm that you added to this beautiful card. How clever to match a charm with the image. It has adds so much interest and character to the overall effect.

Emzi, your card is awesome. Now that you mention it, I am seeing flashbacks of those now awful bathrooms. LOL But, your card is just beautiful and love your charm and pretty sheer ribbon. So glad you've joined the StampinB team.

Congrats Emzi on joining the team. I just happen to love seahorses, so this really caught my eye. After the last time consuming seashell card I did, think that's it for me this year - only one summer themed card from me. I love your image, colors, paper and ribbon. You did a great job!! TFS!

Oh congraglations Emzi on being on the Stampin B team!! Great going!! I love your seahorse card!!! So cute!! Hahahahaha! Seahorses make you think of a retro bathroom? The only thing my parents had was gift to them of a homemade ceramic ornament that held soap. It featured an unclothed woman - so my sisters and wrapped in toilet paper and my parents left here that way! ;)
But I have a love of ocean scenes and creatures, so my bathroom has a cute sea theme going on!!
