F4A27 challenged us to create a card with snow and then be manly by taking out our tools (or our fingernail) and distress something on the project. Well, I keep trying to do distressed cards and to like them, so off I go again to try. I think I need to accept it's just not my style - it just doesn't come naturally to me. So I ended up with a very simple panel with a snowman (embossed with dark grey - because grey sounds like a distressed kind of colour to me) surrounded by snowflakes (stamped in a lighter grey), and then I dutifully got out my distressing tool and distressed the edges. I mounted it on a dp that seemed sort of distressed to me and added a sentiment in dark grey. I ended up with a card that's okay but doesn't particularly thrill me. But I need to get my August Christmas cards for the SCS Christmas Card Challenge so it's counting as one of them. Maybe I'll re-do the card in a style that comes more easily to me!
