well, Dawn, I chose to 'resist the heat' with a trip to Oceanside circa 1953. And while I faithfully followed Godelieve's instructions, my wax paper never adhered to my glossy cs! What to do, what to do with that kitchen timer ticking down...well, I inked up the wax paper with various ocean colors and put that on the front of my card!
The vintage beach images are part of Tweety Jill's unmounted line. I stamped the Oceanside underneath the waxed and bubbled paper. On top, I used the postage 'surfs up' Huntington Beach 1953 inked with Memento Tuxedo Black. The super coolio Woody was stamped with Nick Bantock's Sap Moss Green distressed a bit and stapled. I used cream seam binding for the ribbon element.
So while it's a refreshing 70 here in the PNW...I can so be in Oceanside in my mind...how about you? Thanks for your challenge and the comments on my take. Happy VSN and Weekend!!!!

Great way to improvise this technique. I LOVE your oceanside beauty. I miss the ocean, although when my son was young he thought our ocean (Lake Erie) was much smaller than Grandpa's ocean (Pawleys Island, SC). So maybe I'll go sit in the sand and enjoy my ocean today! Thanks for that inspiration! BTW, wonderful elements on your card.
