Trying out this Distressed Glue Technique, and also tackling this WW Challenge: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/fo...~-t503788.html

The challenge was I didn't have any Tacky Glue....after trial and error, I used Crystal Effects: Glossy Accents.

I added strips of glue, looking at pics of animal prints.

For the Zebra Stripe: Glue added to whisper White. I used a heat gun to dry the glue, which actually causes it to bubble before drying. The Bubbling ultimately allows the ink to stick to it better. I did ink direct to paper to add the Basic Black....use the heat gun one more time to briefly dry the black, and voila!

For Tiger Stripe: I had added the glue stripes earlier, so the glue was already dry....I added More Mustard with a sponge, and the glue resists the ink. After the More Mustard, I used the heat gun to, again, boil the glue....then I did direct to paper again with Early Espresso, heating with gun to dry.

I am SO excited I now have a way to create animal print!

Hmmm. This looks very interesting. I really like the zebra one--probably because I love b/w/r! Thanks for being brave and giving us not one but two more examples of this "wild" technique!

Interesting cards. When I used crystal effects for this technique I didn't get anything resembling your animal prints. I do like these cards and I think they make great background pieces.

Thanks for sharing.
