Yikes, I never made it to the tea-party yesterday to see all the fish swarming. Fish don't swarm, do they?? I had a head-cold, so I went to bed and slept when I got home from work. But good things come to those who wait, and today's sketch was perfect .
Thanks to Lorraine for the inspiration to use the herringbone folder - I hadn't thought of it for my basket till I saw hers.
5 3/4" square base. Unknown blue dp stamped with RubberNecker Cheesecloth in Walnut stain. The edges were distressed and sponged with blue. I used the main panel for my fishing creel; yellow card embossed with Herringbone and sponged with Scattered Straw. I used some brown card to make faux suede, and used that for the corners and handle, with a snap added for the closure. Rounded some edges. (When sticking it to the base, I've left the top unstuck, so that I could actually stick a Gullible Gill fish tag in there if I muster the energy to make one.
My fish scale panel is tin foil wrapped around a piece of thin chipboard, embossed with the Mesh ef and sponged with green, pink and eggplant alcohol inks. I used some of the brown card that I'd crimped to make my faux suede for the other panel, and substituted fibre for layer 5. As the cheesecloth backgrounder doesn't fill a square card, I added some little fishies who haven't yet been caught. They don't quite look like members of the Silver Fins, though...

First off Sabrina, I should say that I hope you are feeling better! Sounds like you needed some extra zzzzz's......I hope that's enough to get you back to normal quick! Thanks for being a trooper and still making a card this week despite you not feeling well....I love the net, the fishies, the awesome layers and the coloring on this card....doesn't that make for a wonderful basket weave??? You and Harriet need to just hang out now that you are here and let all of us teapotters wait on you hand and foot.....what do you need? Some cookies, tea???
Your card is wonderful....oh by the way. I got an email from Andrew's Aunt who in turn had gotten an email from Andrew's mom about Andrew having received 17 cards in the mail in one day! She also made a comment about one of them being from Ireland! Wonder who that was from? Giggle! Thanks for being so willing to always chip in with a card! I know the postage is alot higher for you!!! Big hugs from Colorado!

Awww gee, my little mouse friend was sick with a head cold. Gee, they are so hard, you really only have one option and get to bed. I know, that's how I feel right now, but I just got up, yep, it's 10 am...but I will survive! LOL
Love that cool card and sketch you worked in Sabrina. Lot of textures and the little fishy. Very sweet card indeed. TFS my friend.
