I found the original idea for this card on SCS, but it may take me awhile to retrace my steps and find it. However, someone had posted this website as a way to get the pieces cut for you. www.creativecutsandmore.com is the website. Go to cards…specialty cards….sliding pop-ups
I think the pattern is somewhere on this site cause that is where I first saw it. Then someone mentioned the website where you could order the pieces. I sorta figured out a way to do it by tweeking those measurements. Here is my version….. My layers are: Red- 4 ¼ x 5 ½, Celery and white are cut the same sized at 4” x 5 ¼” and then the white pull out piece is 3” x 4 ½”. You make your cuts around the green piece at ¾” around the sides and bottom to make that pop up flap part. Score that popup flap piece at ¼” at the bottom and score across the top between the cut lines. (I stamped the green piece at this point so I wouldn’t have to compete with the center fold) Match up the ¼” score line with the top score line and crease. This puts a score line across the middle of the flap. You will have two sections that measures 1 ¾” each. I just found it easier to do it that way then try and measure up from the ¼’, 1 ¾” and score…cause for me…no matter how hard I try, it never comes out exact and I have to rescore. It’s just easier for me to fold that piece in half from the ¼” score line. I have to tell all of you I am terrible at trying to explain things…I am a ‘demonstrator’…LOL. Feel free to email me with your questions or if I can try and clear anything up. Anyway, to stamp…lay the green piece on top of the same sized white and make a light pencil line around the opening so you will see the area to stamp in. I inked up the Trees from Along the same Lines (omit the tree tops though…you only want the trunks. Center it, side to side, and stamp. Clean stamp…Take the other white piece (3’x41/2”) and line it up with the trunks on the other piece (this is just to center) Ink up, omitting the bottom pots, and stamp it starating right at the bottom of that piece. I won’t go over the other stamping because I think that is pretty easy to make out. To Assemble: Use a circle punch to punch out a notch in the top of the green paper…save that scrap to attach to the top of the whit e pull out piece. Now…hang in there…it’s almost done…LOL..attach the white piece with trunks to the red layer. Take the green and apply you adhesive to the sides and bottom only and attach that to the white. You should now have a pocket of sorts. Insert the small white piece about halfway and line up the trunks. When you have it all centered, apply adhesive to back of the ¼” section on the bottom of the green flap. Line that up with the bottom of the inserted piece and attach. You should now be able to pull it up and down. Gosh I hope that helps. It might be easier to order the pieces and do it their way, but I always seem to have the ‘TWEEK’ need…LOL…. Anyway, glad you all liked it and email me if I can help…..
