Hi Everyone.
I've really been drawn to create some vintage Christmas cards this year (although clean and simple is really "my" style). The Paperplayers sketch challenge this week called for a circular image and I was drawn to use this to create my vintage Christmas card.
I love the image from the A Wish for Peace set, so wanted to make sure that it remained the focal point.
I stamped the image and then colored it with markers. Once color was applied, I used Shimmer Paint and an old blender pen to create the fresh snow on the church steeple, roof and the trees themselves.
I distressed the background DSP. The ribbon is Always Artichoke and I added it to give the feel of the vintage picture frame bows.
The horizontal stripe was made by running the Music Notes wheel twice across a piece of Always Artichoke card stock.
I adhered the two circle layers with dimensionals to give a little added depth.
I really think I will be making more vintage cards this year. They really do take me back to the cards of my youth.
You can find more details on this card, along with sizes, etc. on my blog at this post Wish for Peace
Thanks so much for looking
Jaydee

It's very vinatage and very elegant! I love how you used the shimmer paint to create snow...just beautiful.
