The Crazy For Challenges Blog is celebrating Elvis week (which is the 2nd week in August to coincide with his deal on August 16, 1977), so I had to join the fun. Whenever I think of Elvis, I think of my Mom. She camped out to get tickets to one of his final concerts in Oklahoma ... and she never missed a chance to watch Blue Hawaii or any other Elvis movie when they played on TV.
When I started thinking about a theme for my card, I found inspiration in this weeks' Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger. The shades of white reminded me of Elvis' Mexican Sundial jumpsuit that he wore during his final concerts in 1977. Also, the seashell theme reminded me Blue Hawaii.
The image from Cornish Heritage Farm's Elvis Silhouettes was stamped in Memories India Ink on ivory shimmer paper.
The papers are from DCWV Natural Collection & the sketch this this week's CPS. The background paper has metallic sections & I used copper glitter paper to bring in more of the metallic elements from the inspiration picture.
I thought about printing a variety of sentiments, but in the end settled on one that I could create with rubber stamps (A Muse & vintage Hero Arts) keeping the first thank you in the shape of the fortune cookie fortune in the picture
