I am so excited to partecipate in the 1st Dueling Darling Dazzlers kit-challenge!
The kit received contained all the making to create a cute card to share on line with our Dueling Dazzlers & Dueling Divas
As I created my card with the lovely image given, the theme took life on its own...
It is so that I incorporate one of my favorite pastime as a kid ,during my summer months:playing ball and eating awesome gelato
(italian word for ice cream) in the evening , as the sun set ended the day.To me it always was a 'Perfect Day':o)
Here ,the 'sun' setting is represented by lrg scalloped nestied vellum overlapping c/s.MS punch was used all around, then,
because I wanted more of a rustic looking sunrays I snipped off the top all the way,at random until I was satisfied how these 'rays'
looked....I did not wanted them 'perfect' but rough looking around the edges.
The 'ball' was a multicolored paper-clip that was part of the kit received.I took off the clip part and kept the ball for the girl...
The cute lil girl was colored using several coloring chalks-my very favorite medium of the moment.
Her hair band, eyes, ice cream toppings and shoes have been all crystal effected for a 3/D effect.
The only thing I added to the accessories found on the kit, are the daisies, which I colored to reflect the cute buttons given.
The thread on the buttons was taken directly from the darker grosgrain ribbon leftover.
The inside sentiment was generated with the sole intention to incorporate the letter 'P', given also as an accessory.
Simple, child like hand printed sentiment, is exposed over nestied background and yummy d/p leftover.
Here U have it galz...do YOU likey??? I'd love to read your comments....:o)
*THANK YOU for visiting!*

Holy cow girlfriend...you nailed this one..AWESOME card... as I pick my jaw up off the floor...I love the vellum behind Kiki representing the sun..what a great idea and the ball ..there you go thinking outside the box...(I never would have thought of that...). I love how you have used the punch to embellish the blue vellum and how clever to use the ribbon for the insides of the buttons..and then coordinate the inside with the leftover kit...oh my...you have done a wonderful job my friend.
