I made this card for an upline trade a few months ago. I embossed the flower and sponged on the color. This technique is called "debossing" because the pressed lines of the flower face down. Then when you sponge over the image the color misses the lines.
The leaves are from Petal Pizzazz. I cut out the embossed and colored flowers and laid them over the white card face to see where to stamp the leaves. I suppose I could have stamped and cut each leaf but that seemed like too much work.
People often ask where I get my inspiration. The idea for this card came from a dress which I wore to the event. You can see a strip of the dress to the right of the card. What I was going for was the shape and variation in color in the flowers.
