I am so thrilled to be the Guest Challenge Hostess for this weekÂ’s Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC77)! My challenge for FTTC77 is to incorporate some kind of PIN on a card creation. You can find all the details for this challenge here: http://www.flourishes.org/2010/07/fl...allengefttc77/
My mom loves tea and collects teapots. I used FlourishesÂ’ LetÂ’s Have Tea stamp set to make this card for her October birthday. I was thinking of her favorite old-fashioned Victorian tea room as I made it, so the pins I used in my card creation are some homemade Victorian-style beaded hat pins, slipped through folds of my grosgrain ribbon.
Paper: Basic Grey Nook & Pantry DP, Basic Grey Green at Heart DP, SU whisper white CS, SU pretty in pink CS
Ink: Palette noir black
Accessories: MS Deco Fan PATP punch set, SU tag corner punch, SU word window punch, colored pencils, foam tape, dimensionals, pearls, sewing machine, emery board (for distressing), paisley grosgrain ribbon, homemade hat pins, Prima Lilliput Rose - Marshmallow

Saw this on your blog and left you a comment and congratulations on your Guest Challenge Hostess position at Flourishes. Wow! That is awesome. What a beautiful card. Your mom is sure to love this. Such a gorgeous treatment of ribbon, flower, and homemade hat pins. I have a small collection of hat pins. I used to visit antique shops searching for them but so many have been taken apart and the nice ones are really hard to find. Great card for your mom, Emzi!

Emzi, congrats on your guest challenge position!! I LOVE teapots too, and my mom is British and collects them also. So, you know I LOVE your card. I just did a teapot card for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge too. Your embellies are TEA-LIGHTFUL!! That ribbon treatment, stick pins, stitching and PATP turned this into a spectacular creation!! TFS!

Emily, you must be so proud to have been chosen as a Guest Designer for Flourishes! They are my fave stamp company aside from Stampin' Up. I'm rubbing shoulders with a celeb now! Thanks for an interesting challenge. I would never have grabbed a pin for a card, and not sure if I would again but it was different to try it. It has opened my (closed) mind a crack!!
