This project was made as a sample for Amber's DTGD10AmberDawn02 -Let's Get Sketchy challenge. It also fits the DTGD10peanutbee -Girls, Girls, Girls & Gingham by Denise and Anna's DTGD10SweetMissDaisy - Keepin' it Rural and Kelly's DTGD10kmahany- Anything But Average.
I stamped the little girl on watercolor paper, painted her using reinkers mixed with water and cut her out. I stamped the cherry part of the image several times, painted and cut out to pop up over the branches of the tree. I created the scene on the circle layer with sponges, the fern stamp from my Kittie Kits and cloud template. I sketched in the tree with an artist pen and added grass springs with a brush. I attached the scene layer to the scalloped, attached to the card front and attached all the cherry image sections last to allow the cherry branches to extend out of the scene. I love how the red of the cherries and the red and white gingham make this whole scene pop.

There's a ton of cutting here but it makes the tree really look like it's growing there and the little girl can move around picking her cherries. Wonderful!

Awwwwwwwww, Kittie!
This reminds me of dear Ruby's cherry trees ... way too many years ago, but a quarter-mile away ... and yes, I would spend many a day there. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Thanks for the look 'back'!
