Sallie, sorry I am late for the party, but QFTD is extended to all week now! lol. (just a note: I am always late on these...lol)
Your gallery was too much fun! You have the most amazing talent and choosing one was difficult. This is the card I chose to case: SC286 Poppies by hobbydujour at Splitcoaststampers
And what a beautiful card it is.
I had these hero arts poppies I borrowed from a friend and inked up in a variety of colors, as I was looking at your card, it occured to me there was a tutorial out there from JanTink.com (stamps, paper, scissors) that I was wanting to try with the woodgrain stamp from SU. Here is the link. http://stampspaperscissors.typepad.c...-tutorial.html
This is my first time inking up the woodgrain and I really like the variety of woodgrains she has come up with, so I plan on doing this again.
I kept the same basic design and used some of my basic grey paper as well.
Thanks so much for all your wonderful comments and inspiration.

What an outstanding CASE of my card......and yours is a very beautiful one in its own right!! Love the colors and that woodgrain bg is amazing. Thanks for the link as to how it is done. I've checked it out!
I've used that poppy stamp and it is NOT the easiest one to use IMO, but I love the image. You did a fabulous job with it. You always leave such kind comments. I truly appreciate your creating this lovely card for the QFTD18 gallery! Thank you.

Oh wow! Simply stunning, eye catching, beautiful!!! Those poppies pop right off that blue! The wood grain looks so awesome and you should definately try it again. The other panel looks a little like a bee hive texture and it is so natural. Love this, love this, love this!!!
