This is for DTGD10BevMom TV Dinner and DTGD10justwritedesigns01 Just Faux You. I was intrigued to go to a western theme for my TV Dinner project as that seems to be what most of my favorites were when I was young. Bonanza, Gun Smoke (I've been called Miss Kitty all my life), The Rifleman, Rawhide. Sadly I have just let you know that I am not a spring chick. This qualifies for Julie's Just Faux You as I didn't use any purchased embellishments. I braided thin strips of cardstock to create a leather looking thingy to hang on my faux wood fence posts. The horses were stamped with chocolate craft ink, embossed and then I sponged the grassy ground area with green and a little brown. I highlighted the top horse and ground level with a little yellow. I don't know who in the world I will give this to but maybe I will meet a cowboy or cowgirl sometime. My husband is Italain and is anything but the cowboy type so he won't get it.

I love this! You forgot to mention the show, Fury- Your sponging is great and love the fence. Have never tried to braid card stock, but now I must try! tfs

I am so glad to know that I am not the only person on SCS to remember those westerns! You didn't mention Wagon Train - holy cow, I was little but I was pretty sure that Rowdy was the one for me. I think your card is a great Western depiction and maybe, just maybe, your Italian sweetie liked those 'spaghetti westerns'??? Oh yeah, I remember Fury - that was going to be my horse that I rode off into the sunset when I met Rowdy!
