* Excuse my lighting - I'm still trying to play with my lamps so I can get Pure White light *
I made this recipe card for the Flourishes contest (*crossed fingers*). I had so much fun making this and had a hard time wondering when I put enough strawberries on! I'm not one to guild the lily so-to-speak, but it seemed like it was lacking with out all of them I just couldn't stop playing with it, but I had to stop playing and finish it - LOL
I sewed all the way around for the first time, and I'll definitely keep trying to do that more often (I don't sew). I used my craft knife to cut out each of the strawberries and leaves, after coloring them in with my Distress Inks. After coloring the berries, I added Diamond Glaze for the look of fresh wet berries. You can't tell by the picture but they took on a nice deep color. The scalloped center/circle and the berries on the bottom of the easle are popped up with popdots, to give dimention.
I made the recipe into an Easle "card", because it's easier to see, and so you can actually use it or have it proped up in your kitchen shelf (I'm putting it on mine).

AWESOME card!! Love your yummy strawberries!!
GOOD LUCK in the contest!! I don't sew either, but I have been thinking about getting my machine out and try to sew on a card. I hope my machine still works, it hasn't been out of its box in almost 20 years!! Please check out the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge by clicking on the link below my signature. We would be so very honored to have one of your lovely creations in our weekly challenge!
