I needed a masculine card for a coworker's birthday on Monday and had some time to stamp this afternoon - so checked out the Inspiration Challenge. Stef shared with us a great Vintage website - the Blue Carrot Shop. Thanks Stef for this great site filled with wonderful Vintage items!! I found this fantastic beach scene/tray to use as my inspiration for today's card - link here: http://www.bluecarrotshop.com/detail...ID=284&CatID=2
As soon as I decided on this scene I remembered the recent Tuesday's Teapot Challenge - Kahuna Kai, and as you can see that teapot really took over this card!!! Here's the link to the teapot: Teapot Tuesday - The Teapot #100 by Mothermark at Splitcoaststampers Thanks Anne for this great teapot challenge!
The Palm tree from Balmy breezes wasn't as tall as I wanted, so the trunk was extended using markers. The tree was stamped twice, with the second one's palms cut and mounted over the main tree image. Both were colored using pencils.
Thanks everyone for looking!
Enjoy your Saturday!

Wow times a hundred! Love your dp and how you distressed it. This is spot on for the teapot you mentioned. What a gorgeous, yet manly type card. Love it. TFS :0)

Great job on both challenges. When I first saw the thumbnail, I must admit that it looked like Egypt to me -- that mountain looked like a pyramid. But I can definitely see the beach and that teapot now!
