I RARELY do two cards in one challenge....but in my first one - I was inspired by color only, and I was okay with that.....until I read Stephanie's comment on my first card where she said she loved it, but she expected me to be all over the vintage on the website and my card is not vintage! So I tried to go to bed and go to sleep but Stephanies comment this time was my inspiration as well as the vintage feel of the website and all the RED on the site as well. My 10 year old neice has been visiting this week - Marina, and I have hardly gotten to know her in 10 years since they live in CA, but this week we have truly bonded, and I want to keep her. So I was also inspired by the joy of getting to know Marina, and this card is for her. It was fun to be inspired twice. Thanks Stephanie!! Hope you like it! PS I sorta still like my first card better, but this one seems way more true to the website!

You know it was just playful goading :^) ... but I do love this card too ... the embossing really adds an extra pop of visual interest ... and the way you did the ribbon is very cool ... and what a great way to celebrate getting to know a family member ... I'm off on a road trip tomorrow to spend the week with my nieces and nephews from far away & I'm sure I'll feel the same way when I have to let them go back home.

I haven't reached your first card yet, but I certainly love the warm colours in this one, and the combination of those old-fashioned stamped flowers and the embossing - a lovely rich feel to it all.
