My husband's co-worker asked me for a card that he could give a 9 nine year old girl who's recovering from radiation and chemotherapy. He wanted something with butterflies and bright, happy colors, so I pulled out my Sweet Pea scraps and this old Sketch Challenge. Forums at Splitcoaststampers
I started with a Bermuda Bay card base and added Sweet Pea dsp panels. I highlighted the Pumpkin Pie strip with a scalloped edge of Chocolate Chip cs. I stamped the sentiment with Early Espresso ink onto Whisper White cs, layered it on Chocolate Chip cs and added a trail of Bashful Blue eyelets with my Crop-A-Dile. I glued this panel to the card and went to work on the butterfly. I stamped it with Rose Rose ink onto Whisper White cs and added the polka dots to the butterfly with the stamp and White Craft Ink so it could be embossed with White Emboss Powder. I punched out the butterfly, added it to the card with a Mini Glue Dot (so it's wings could pop up) and added the Pumpkin Pie button and linen thread combo with another Mini Glue Dot.
