This picture is very special. It's a picture of a group of friends. Most of us have been friends for 30 years...since 1st grade. It's special because this is the first time all of have been together in quite sometime. We were brought together in this photo to celebrate the life of Suzy who left all of us way too soon in life. The quote on this layout says:
"When you come to the end of all the light you know, and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen: Either you will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly." This was one of Suzy's favorite quotes.
(It was very hard to photograph this layout. hopefully you can get the idea) This is a layout that is going to be framed and given as a memorial gift to Suzy's sister Beth. Beth is one of my oldest and dearest friends.
This layout was also guided by the IFC77 challenge to use different patterns, but the same palette...challenge is to create a page using a least 3 different patterned papers that all include one common color palette. The patterns may be different sizes and styles but using the one common color will be what unifies the design.
Patterned Papers:
PaperStudio: Butterflies, Vintage Damask, Script, Double Stripe, Cream Lace
CR Gibson: Black swirl
The Paper Company: Ocean Blue Shimmer, Cream
Making Memories: 5th Ave journal
My Minds Eye: Black Stripe
Jennie Bowlin: Vintage Calendar Card
Accessories:
Spellbinders Lables 1 and Long Rectangles
MS Gothic Arch punch
Ribbon Trends Butterfly Twill
Prima Swaney Collection glitter butterfly
Prima Flowers
PaperStudio Pearls
Tattered Angels Glimmermist (Delphinium Blue & Fall Breeze)

MaryBeth, This is absolutely incredible and heart-wrenching at the same time. What a beautiful tribute and thoughtful gift. I'm sure it will be treasured forever. Thanks for playing along with the challenge.
