I have a friend at work who has had the most horrible thing happen. A blood clot exploded in her lower intestine or something like that. It wasn't discovered for awhile and she went into severe shock. They had to do some pretty radical surgery to save her and now her body is forming more and more clots. She has made it a two weeks - through several close calls. The doctors say that it will be a long, long road to recovery. Her family has been at the hospital non-stop and they are exhausted as you can imagine. Our team is providing the food for the family this week and, of course, I volunteered to make the card.
I wanted something really special so I went to my favorites and found this lovely card by Cards_By_America:
she actually cased a card by Becca Stamps (Becca Feeken). They are both really, really talented artists. I think it came out beautiful and I thank them both for their inspiration.

Beautiful card Nutzi ~ and prayers and best wishes for your friend. So thoughtful of you to make her a card ~ and such a beautiful one ~ to let her know you are praying for her. This is very pretty and certain to be very uplifting for her as she recovers... RYPH!!

Oooh, this came out beautiful Nutzi!! I know what you mean, both America and Becca make the most gorgeous creations. You did a fantastic job and I love you mix of papers and that gorgeous BOW just tops it off. I'm so sorry for your friend. It sounds awful. I hope this will bring much comfort!! Isn't it funny how you hear a story like this and your own problems seem to pale in comparison. I guess I should be grateful for things as they are for me now when I see how difficult it can be for others!! TFS!

Amazing bow for a stunning card. I really hope your friend pulls through OK. I've never heard of anything like that happening. I'm so glad that you are able to support her family with meals, prayers, and cards. They really need it all. Superb work, Nancy.
