I spent a long time on the site Stef picked out for today's Inspiration Challenge. I finally decided on this Red Flower Crib. I liked the simple but elegant design and eye popping red flowers against the white crib. And since July 3rd is my sis' birthday, I thought this would be great for her. Almost the 4th of July, so almost the 4th of July colors.
All images are Our Daily Bread designs. For this card, I embossed the red linen card stock with a Quickutz oval frame folder and then saw that the middle sizes of the Spellbinders Mega ovals fit inside. I used a pair of Fiskar's corner scissors on the corners. I did my out of the box Nestie technique with the fuchsia on the smaller oval. I wrapped the ribbon around the larger oval before adding the popped up smaller oval on top. I took a red silk flower apart and ran the ribbon thru the backside and then thru a white button before tying it in a bow.
The fuchsia was stamped randomly on the 4.25 x 5.5 white card and the embossed panel and ovals were added. I made 4 faux brads and attached them to the corners.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.
Happy Birthday Sis!!
