For Thursday's Ways to Use It challenge, we were to make a patriotic card without blue or red. I inked up the starts from Autumn Leaves "scribbles hearts and stars" with groovy guava, old olive, and close to cocoa and cut out the vellum quote with nestabilities curvy rectangle. I needed something behind the quote so it could be read more easily. First, I backed it on a larger rectangle, but I felt like it covered too much of the background, so I went with the strip. Not sure if that works or not. I sponged the edges with old olive. I feel like it needs a little something...I don't know...blingy or something. But nothing I tried looked good. Oh well, simple it is.

Love your "simple" card! It's really pretty! I love how you used just the strip of paper behind the sentiment so it didn't block off the beautiful background! I like how you softened the edges with the sponging too! Great Sentiment!
