Congrats to Dorothy ( etsdas ) this week's Queen for the day. WOW 995 cards, I have a long way to go. She sure gave us lots of wonderful inspiration today. I had picked out a stamp to use this morning for the F4A19 challenge to use gold and a star. The Wish Big stamp had a star for the flame, I thought perfect. Then when I saw Dorothy's card I knew I had to do a triple layer cake and a tag of some sort. I stamped the cake onto some brown dp for the cake and some pink dp for the icing. Then I had the idea to make a tag shaped card. I also used the same colors as she did.
The B & G were replaced with die cut letters from Sizzix. They were embossed with Quickutz goodsebumpz stars. I punched out a star from some gold dp for the candle's flame. I used the Baroque Border wheel over my dp for the icing, then added stickles
The hardest thing about the card was not to get the stickles everywhere since it was still wet.
I used my pretty in pink ink pad to color my white ribbon to match
Thanks for looking

Thank you for the kind words and for selecting one of my cards - you went back a ways to find this one! (I am feeling I should go through my gallery and eliminate some that are pretty embarrassing by now!) I like the way you made it in to a tag. The drippy icing looks yummy. I am so impressed by your coloring a ribbon. So far I have not dared try that.

very cute, irene! i love your "big" letters and your pink icing. your ribbon turned out great; that would be a lot easier than trying to find the perfect ribbon colour.
