These are some cards that I made for the Fourth of July this year. There is no stamping on them at all. Only paper crafting for these cards. The gold circle is actually Hallmark gold shimmer tissue paper that was run through a paper crimper. The little banners were hand cut and hand written. The design for these cards was inspired by a retired holiday ornament from Dee Foust, an artist for Bethany Lowe Designs. I am a huge BL fan - all seasons. And when I spotted this patriotic piece from Dee, I wanted to try to recreate it on a card. You can see the retired ornament here at Bayberry Cove, one of my favorite shopping sites: http://www.bayberrycove.com/liandjulasto.html
After making several of these cards, I realize that I desperately need to purchase a set of Nestabilities Stars. All of these were hand cut. But I really love the vintage look and feel to them.
This is also for the F4A19 challenge to use a star and to use gold on a project.
