This is for todays Ways to Use It challenge. The challenge was to create a card for Independence Day without using the colors red or blue.
This card started out as very vanilla. The grren dp was laid for grass and then I sponge in the setting sun with a mask and then sponged the entire sky with London Fog. I wanted to go for a dusky twilight look. That time when the sun sets and the sky begins to shade just enough to start the fireworks! Such a magical time. Of course when you're a kid on the 4th waiting for the sun to fade....it seems like eternity. Or atleast it did for me when I was little. Once the gray sky was complete, I added starburst stamps and then added different colored stickles for that touch of sparkle! The houses were stamped on kraft paper to also give that shaded effect. I had alot of fun creating this card.
