My flowers took a pounding today... I tried cranesbills, petunias, catmint and dianthus and all I ended up with was flower soup. Then it dawned on me to try some coleus... that did the trick. I really like how it turned out, but sadly it didn't photograph well. Even though my first efforts didn't work out, this was a fun challenge and I'll try it again.
Thanks for looking.

Flower soup! LOL! I can relate to some mucky messes but oh what fun it what smashing and pounding those poor posies through my 'bug! Your results are wonderful - the gallery has been a blast to look at - such wonderful cards and such hilarious descriptions of everyones' experiences... Glad to stuck to it!

Well wow, you may have had flower soup with some of them, but you hit the jackpot with this. It looks almost like a sepia tint photo to me - really beautiful. I know I saw dianthus and petunias yesterday when I was looking through the gallery. I was wondering about trying the dianthus. But now I don't think I want another mush to deal with . Well done with this.

I know exactly what you mean by flower soup. I tried several too and the biggest thing that surprised me was the color I ended up w/ on my paper! I have 2 lilies still blooming, so I might try them - another time. I love coleus and this turned out beautifully. I love the soft touch you have here and the added butterflies are wonderfu. Love the ribbon too.

Ooh, I think your coleus is gorgeous! That was a good choice. Your purple and green looks super, along with that darling ribbon. Lovely card!!!
