This technique is called pounding check it out at Try a new Technique. I must be the slowest of all the followers of this challenge! Everyone had no trouble with this but me. Attempt 1 was brown and mushy; attempt 2 I eased off on the tension and had nothing but an imprint; This is attempt 3. Add to this last night when I went out to my garden to gather flowers my dog alerted me to a bear in the back garden. You would think I live in the boonies but I live right in Vancouver. If you know Vancouver at all you would understand what living on the North shore means, ocean out the front door and straight up a mountain with all that nature has to offer including bears out the back. Every year we have a family group with mom and 1 or 2 cubs on our street and we keep our distance but there has never been an attack they are for the most part timid.

Wow, bet your heart was pounding before you started on the flowers! Your end result is incredible though... LOVE the pansies! My tries so far have been on the muddy side.

Oh my goodness! You got amazing results with this! I'm assuming those are pansies. It appears that they seem to work the best for this technique. Did you pound the flowers in the bg too, or are they stamped?

Oh my! A technique card you'll remember for a long time! And it turned out beautifully! I know what you mean about the smooshy brown results but your patience certainly paid off! And the sentiment is absolutely wonderful for this beautiful image. Be on the lookout when you head out for more posies to pound!
