I was hoping to do the CAS card yesterday, but the marquee card took me so long I was feeling a little deflated and uninspired. So today I decided to *try* to combine the Color Challenge with yesterday's CAS.
I had exactly one sheet of Soft Suede. One. That's it! No room for mistakes here, folks! And I found it a teeny bit difficult to get things matched the way I wanted. I tweaked the CAS sketch a little so it would work with what I was thinking and used some pretty patterned papers for my "strips". I also decided to emboss my c/s that the strips and sentiment were on. It just looked weird & unfinished w/out it. Not clean & simple...just weird.
In all fairness, this card really looks much better IRL. The white paper has a subtle shimmer to it which is lovely and the stickpin in the ribbon really does add a little itty-bitty bit of something special.
